44th NITC Focuses on Human-Centric Skills for Sri Lanka’s Digital Future 📈
• National Vision: The Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) will host the 44th National IT Conference (NITC) from October 14–16, 2026, at Shangri-La Colombo, under the theme “Human Centric Skills Towards Society 5.0”. The milestone event marks 50 years of CSSL leadership in the tech sector. • Economic Targets: Workforce readiness is highlighted as a critical pillar to power Sri Lanka's target of building a US$ 15 Bn digital economy by 2030. • Cross-Sector Integration: Digital transformation is expanding across all key national sectors, including ICT/BPM, government, banking, tourism, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, education, healthcare, and SMEs. • Core Themes: Conference discussions will span 6 tracks: e-Government, Digital Tourism & Logistics, E-Finance & FinTech, Cybersecurity & Privacy, Digital Sustainability & Infrastructure, and Ethical AI & Society 5.0. • Talent & Recognition: The event will emphasize continuous reskilling and upskilling for AI adaptation, alongside hosting the CSSL National ICT Awards to recognize human capability in technology.
