• Overview: The 6th edition of the JXG-MHA 9-A-Side Hockey Tournament, sponsored by Janashakthi Group and organized by the Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA), will take place on 22 August at Astro Turf, Colombo 7. • Participation: The event brings together 16 corporate teams across three divisions to drive sports engagement in the corporate sector, featuring national-level players and emerging talent. • Divisions & Key Teams: • Division A: Defending champion Hatton National Bank (HNB), Seylan Bank, Sampath Bank A, Commercial Bank, Hayleys, and apparel & textiles giant MAS Holdings. • Division B: CIAP, Nations Trust Bank, and Browns & Company. • Division C: David Pieris Motor Company, John Keells Holdings, Singer (Sri Lanka), Future Life Holdings, Hemas Holdings, InQube Global, and Sampath Bank B. • Previous Edition Results: In the 5th edition, HNB won the Division A title against Sampath Bank, Browns & Company claimed Division B over Hayleys, and Nations Trust Bank took Division C against David Pieris Motor Company. • Event Details: Matches begin at 8:30 a.m. with live coverage on the MHA Facebook page and Sri Lankan Sports TV YouTube channel.
