Advanced 4th-Gen Fertiliser Introduced to Sri Lanka's Paddy Sector 📈

• Initiative Overview: A national public–private partnership (PPP) program successfully introduced 4th-generation MCI Hybrid Pellet Fertiliser and Biofilm Biofertiliser to paddy cultivation at the Wilwatta Farmers’ Association in Mirigama. • Implementation & Objectives: Led by the Ministry of Science & Technology, National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Ministry of Agriculture, and Lanka Bio Fertilisers Ltd., the program targets modernizing agriculture, improving crop yields, and enhancing farmer incomes through scientific application methods. • Field Demonstration: Conducted a paddy harvest assessment on-site alongside awareness sessions for local farmers to promote modern agricultural technology adoption nationwide.
