Allianz Lanka boosts biodiversity conservation 🌳

• Allianz Insurance Lanka has partnered with the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS) to support its Preserving Land and Nature (PLANT) initiative. • Crucial Mechanism: Allianz will contribute funds for reforestation and habitat restoration for every Motor and Travel Insurance policy sold from October 30, 2025, onwards. • The PLANT initiative, a flagship WNPS project, focuses on building forest corridors, ecosystem restoration, and promoting biodiversity and climate resilience. • Scope: The project currently operates across 33 locations, home to over 1,250 species (including 125 endangered ones), and is actively creating over 25 km of forest corridors. • This initiative aligns with Allianz Group’s global ESG strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, emphasizing environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
