The Bank of Ceylon (BOC) has officially launched "BOC Flex – Tap & Pay," marking the country’s first mobile banking wallet-based contactless payment solution. Introduced on July 9, 2026, the feature integrates virtual card technology into the BOC Flex app to enable cardless transactions at NFC-enabled Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals and online merchants. • Core Innovation: Combines a digital wallet with a Virtual Card ecosystem.
