The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) has launched its CA Leadership Academy alongside four critical governance publications to strengthen board-level capability and advance professional governance standards. ⢠The Leadership Academy: Offers two distinct structured training programs aimed at expanding executive skillset beyond technical expertise into strategic oversight, sharp judgment, and long-term value creation. - _Private Sector Program_: An 8-week corporate leadership course covering directors' responsibilities, digital oversight, and AI governance. - _State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Program_: A 6-week board leadership course focused on public sector governance and value creation. ⢠Key Governance Publications: Unveiled a coordinated suite of four reference guides addressing modern technological disruption, environmental impact, and public sector risk management: - Guidelines on AI for Finance Professionals - Guideline on IT Governance for Directors - Sustainability Governance Code - Action Plan for Combating Fraud in Public Sector Entities (developed in collaboration with the University of Kelaniya) ⢠National Context: This initiative targets critical areas for Sri Lanka's economic stability, focusing on improving institutional accountability, advancing transparency, and mitigating fraud risks across both private and state-owned corporate ecosystems.
