Co-operative Insurance Appoints New Acting MD & Principal Officer 📈

• Co-operative Insurance Company PLC has announced the appointment of Dayasumana Gamage as the Acting Managing Director and Acting Principal Officer, effective 29 October 2025. • The appointment, which was approved by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), fulfills a statutory requirement for the Principal Officer position. • Gamage will also continue to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Company. • He is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of distinguished service in the Cooperative sector, including a previous role as Cooperative Commissioner. • This strategic decision aims to strengthen the Company’s leadership, ensure continued regulatory compliance, sound governance, and drive sustainable growth, leveraging his deep understanding of the core Cooperative business dynamics.
