The initiative, timed with International Women’s Month, aims to enhance maternal healthcare infrastructure and patient safety at Sri Lanka's oldest maternity hospital. • Hospital Impact & Stats Founded in 1879, De Soysa Hospital is a cornerstone of the healthcare sector, recording 25,000 admissions and 6,000–8,000 deliveries annually. Ward No. 03 specifically handles: 2,500 – 3,000 deliveries per year. 4,000 – 5,000 patient admissions per year. • CSR & Sector Context The project is managed by the Commercial Bank Social Responsibility Trust, which has supported over 100 government hospitals.
