The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) announced a reduction in petrol prices effective midnight on 30 August, leaving diesel and kerosene rates unchanged. This move directly impacts the energy & transport sector, easing operational costs for small businesses and everyday consumers. • Petrol Price Reductions: - Petrol 92: Down by Rs. 15 (-3.6%) to Rs. 399/litre (from Rs. 414). - Petrol 95: Down by Rs. 20 (-4.0%) to Rs. 475/litre (from Rs. 495). • Unchanged Fuel Rates: - Auto Diesel: Maintained at Rs. 382/litre. - Super Diesel: Maintained at Rs. 478/litre. - Kerosene: Maintained at Rs. 285/litre.
