The Colombo Stock Exchange has updated the constituents of the S&P SL20 index, effective 22 June 2026, following the mid-year review by S&P Dow Jones Indices. • New Additions: ACL Cables PLC CIC Holdings PLC Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC (Voting Shares) • Exclusions: LB Finance PLC People’s Leasing and Finance PLC • Index Context: The S&P SL20 represents the 20 largest, most liquid, and financially viable companies on the CSE. Inclusion criteria require a minimum float-adjusted market capitalization of Rs. 500 million, specific liquidity thresholds, and positive net income over the preceding 12 months. • Current Composition: The updated index includes a mix of key sectors: Banking & Finance: Includes major entities like HNB, Sampath Bank, and NDB. Diversified Holdings: Features giants such as John Keells Holdings, Hayleys, and Melstacorp. Industrial & Consumer: Includes Access Engineering, Dialog Axiata, and Singer Sri Lanka among others. This rebalancing ensures the index continues to reflect the performance of leading blue-chip companies driving the local market.
