The All Share Price Index (ASPI) fell 0.31% (-65.12 points) to close at 21,279.65, while the S&P SL20 dropped 0.24% (-14.59 points) to 5,994.81. • Market Activity: Market sentiment remained subdued ahead of the mid-week break, with 121 decliners against 69 gainers. Total turnover reached nearly Rs. 797 million on a volume of over 27.2 million shares traded. • Foreign Flows: Foreign investors remained net sellers, recording a net outflow of over Rs. 4.1 million. • Sector & Stock Drivers: Persistent selling pressure outweighed initial gains, despite declining global oil prices. Top negative index contributors included CARG, DIAL, COMB, BREW, and CDB. The capital goods sector accounted for the highest turnover share at 19%, followed by the materials and banking sectors, which combined for 28%.
