DFCC Bank has introduced Sri Lanka’s first ATMs and Cash Recycler Machines (CRMs) supporting eight languages, boosting accessibility for international tourists and local self-service banking users. • Service Overview: - Enables cash deposits and withdrawals in 8 languages: English, Sinhala, Tamil, French, Chinese, Russian, Hindi, and German. - Initial deployment covers high-traffic arrival and tourism hubs including Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Hiriketiya, Ella, and Arugam Bay, with plans for a broader nationwide rollout. • National & Economic Relevance: - Facilitates seamless, independent transactions for foreign visitors, removing language barriers to support Sri Lanka’s expanding tourism industry. - Aligns with foreign arrival growth—2.36 million tourists welcomed in 2025, plus 1.15 million in 1H 2026 (per SLTDA data). - Enhances financial inclusion by allowing local customers to transact comfortably in Sinhala, Tamil, or English.
