Sri Lankan conglomerate DIMO won the Infrastructure and Utilities Sector Award and was named Runner-Up for Excellence in ESG at the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2026. The awards highlight DIMO’s transition from automotive sales into a tech-driven engineering and renewable energy solutions provider. • Sector Impact & Power Infrastructure: • Contributes to over 70% of Sri Lanka's power grid substations. • Completed the New Habarana Grid Substation with Siemens to strengthen the national transmission network. • Delivered an 80% energy efficiency improvement at Colombo's Ambathale water treatment plant. • Renewable Energy Expansion: • Added 18 MW across four utility-scale solar projects in Galle, bringing cumulative solar capacity to 25.845 MW (AC). • Generates 31.8M kWh of clean energy annually, powering ~38,000 families and cutting emissions by over 12,900 tCO2e. • Commissioned Sri Lanka's first microgrid project at the University of Moratuwa. • Engineering & Diversification: • Installed ICC-compliant LED floodlighting at R.
