EDB Appoints 24 Advisory Committees for 2026ā2029 & Launches Export Performance Indicators 2025 š
ā¢ Key Highlights: EDB issued appointment letters for 24 Advisory Committees (2026ā2029) and launched the Export Performance Indicators 2025 to drive national export growth. ā¢ Strategic Target: Supports the National Export Development Plan (NEDP) 2026ā2030 to achieve a US$ 36 Bn export target by 2030 and expand export diversification. ā¢ Cross-Sector Enablers (6 Committees): Covers logistics, trade facilitation, trade finance, business reform, market links, quality/ESG standards, and skills development. ā¢ NEDP Priority Sectors (8 Committees): Focuses on auto components, minerals, rubber-based industries, marine products, spices & concentrates, digital products, electrical components, and processed food & beverages. ā¢ Other Sector Committees (10 Committees): Includes apparel, coconut & coconut-based products, gems, diamonds & jewellery, seafood, pharmaceuticals, ICT/digital services, and SME export development. ā¢ Governance & Composition: Appointed for a 3-year term under the Export Development Act, blending exporters, SMEs, state bodies, and experts with ADB technical assistance.
