Sri Lanka’s premier education and career fair, the EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2026, will take place on September 5–6 at the BMICH, Colombo, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. • Event Overview & Scale: • Features ~45 educational institutions, 10 corporate entities, and direct overseas exhibitors from Finland and Japan. • Ceremonially opened by H.E. Badli Hisham Adam, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Sri Lanka and the Maldives. • Key Industry & Sector Breakdown: • Offers direct engagement with employers across healthcare, consumer goods, agriculture, aviation, cargo & freight, telecommunications, automotive, transportation, software, and banking & finance. • Directly links skill-building with national youth employment, career advancement, and global workforce participation. • New Digital Features & Initiatives: • Digitalized Psychometric Test (Career Key) allows mobile pre-assessment paired with one-on-one guidance by Ceylon Career Guidance Association (CCGA) counsellors. • Introduces EDUSPORT to integrate sports-based critical thinking with learning, alongside the EDUCAST youth podcast initiative. • Endorsements & Strategic Support: • Formally endorsed by key ministries including Education, Youth Affairs, Labor, and Environment. • Partnered with The Employers' Federation of Ceylon, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and CCGA.
