The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) is set to host its inaugural National Best Employer Awards tomorrow, January 20th, at the Galle Face Hotel. Originally delayed due to cyclone disruptions, the event marks a milestone in recognizing human-centered leadership and organisational excellence within Sri Lanka. • Event Highlights: The ceremony features Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha as Chief Guest and a keynote via video by Professor Dave Ulrich, the "Father of Modern HR." • Evaluation Framework: Organizations were assessed across five core pillars: Strategic HR, Leadership & Culture, National Socio-Economic Contribution, Ethics & Compliance, and Digital Transformation. • Strategic Goal: The initiative aims to establish a national benchmark for employer excellence, moving beyond traditional profit metrics to prioritize inclusive workplace cultures and sustainable employment. • Organizational Context: Established in 1929, the EFC remains the country’s primary body for advancing employer interests and national economic progress.
