• Eng. Ravi Rupasinghe has been appointed as the General Secretary of the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) for the 2025/2026 term. • The OPA is the apex body for 52 professional associations, representing over 60,000 professionals across 34 professions. • Professional Background: A Chartered Electrical Engineer with over 25 years of industry experience, he holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MBA–MOT from the University of Moratuwa. • OPA Service: He has contributed to the OPA for over a decade, serving five consecutive terms as Vice President since 2018 and chairing key committees, including Career Guidance and Education & Human Resources Development. • Leadership Roles: Eng. Rupasinghe is a leading entrepreneur, serving as Chairman/MD for multiple ventures promoting technological advancement, engineering excellence, and education. He previously held key posts including President of the Engineers’ Guild of Sri Lanka (EGSL) and Vice Chairman of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI). • In his new capacity, he will oversee the OPA’s secretariat operations, coordinate collaboration among affiliated bodies, and drive key policy initiatives at national and international forums.
