🚘 GAC Expands Sri Lankan Footprint with New 3S Facility & EMKOO SUV Launch

Chinese automaker GAC, alongside local distributor Automobile Technologies Ltd., has strengthened its local operations by opening a integrated 3S facility in Union Place, Colombo, while officially introducing the all-new GAC EMKOO SUV. • 3S Facility Launch: The new Union Place venue consolidates Sales, Service, and Genuine Spare Parts under one roof to enhance post-purchase support and customer experience in the domestic automotive market. • GAC EMKOO SUV Specs: • Engine & Power: 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 177 PS and 270 Nm of torque. • Transmission & Performance: 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission; accelerates 0–100 km/h in 8.8 seconds with a top speed of 190 km/h. • Cabin & Tech: Features a dual-screen setup (10.25-inch LCD cluster + 10.1-inch infotainment screen) with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. • Storage: Cargo space offers 638 litres, expandable to 1,586 litres. • Key Stakeholders Present: Event led by GAC South Asia Region GM Daniel Zhou, GAC Country Manager Raymon Wang, Asia Region Director Faisal Sharif, alongside Automobile Technologies Ltd.
