The Cabinet of Ministers has cleared land allocations for 23 new manufacturing and industrial ventures across 13 regional industrial estates on 35-year lease agreements. • Overall Investment & Jobs: Total investment exceeds Rs. 2.8 billion, expected to generate 870 direct jobs. • Regional Development: Implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development to drive balanced industrialisation, decentralise production, and expand economic opportunities outside major urban hubs. • Selection Process: Proposals underwent a multi-stage evaluation by the Regional Industrial Service Committee (under Industrial Promotion Act No. 46 of 1990) and the Ministry's Project Evaluation Committee.
