The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has named Sarvesh Suri as the new Regional Vice President for Asia and the Pacific. Based in Singapore, Suri will oversee investment and advisory operations across a territory stretching from India to the Pacific Islands, including Sri Lanka. • Strategic Leadership: Suri will lead efforts to mobilize private sector solutions in manufacturing, agribusiness, infrastructure, and financial services to address regional development challenges. • Core Objective: A primary focus will be on job creation and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which act as engines for economic growth. • Financial Instruments: The strategy involves strengthening local capital markets, making strategic equity investments, and utilizing innovative financing to bridge development gaps. • New Regional Support: • Keiko Miwa (Jakarta) will manage South West Asia and Pacific Islands. • Arnaud Dupoizat (Hong Kong) will oversee East Asia effective Feb 1, 2026. • Professional Profile: An Indian national with 25 years of experience, Suri previously served as IFC’s Regional Industry Director for Infrastructure and Natural Resources and held senior roles at MIGA.
