š IMFC Global Economic Outlook & Policy Priorities
⢠Overview & Key Drivers: Global growth remains broadly stable but vulnerable to downside risks. Geopolitical conflicts, supply chain disruptions, and trade tensions continue to elevate uncertainty and price pressures. Conversely, rapid developments in ICT/BPM and advanced intelligence technologies are driving investment, trade, and productivity growth. ⢠Policy Focus & Debt Sustainability: IMFC members prioritized macroeconomic stability, sound fiscal consolidation, and central bank independence. Enhanced support was urged for low-income and vulnerable nations facing debt vulnerabilities, utilizing the IMF-World Bank 3-Pillar Approach, Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust (PRGT), and Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable restructuring mechanisms. ⢠Financial Safeguards & Global Governance: Agreed on the Bangkok Blueprint to strengthen digital finance safeguards, cyber resilience, and anti-fraud efforts. Reaffirmed support for a quota-based IMF framework under the 16th General Review of Quotas (GRQ) and future governance guidance via the Diriyah Guiding Principles.
