• Partnership Extension: INSEE Cement renewed its MoU with NAITA and the Industrial Engineering Training Institute (IETI) to extend its vocational training program through 2031. • Program Impact: Operating since 2007 via the INSEE Academy and Puttalam plant, the 1.5-year NVQ Level 4 initiative is Sri Lanka’s longest-running industry-partnered training pathway, graduating 260+ technical professionals over 19 years. • Current Batch: The 2026 intake (16th batch) includes 24 trainees specialized in Electrician (12) and General Fitter (12) disciplines. • Strategic Value: Secures a skilled talent pipeline for manufacturing & engineering, addressing national youth employment and bridging Sri Lanka's technical skills gap.
