Regen Renewables has completed a major multi-location industrial solar installation for apparel giant Jay Jay Mills Lanka, marking a significant step in the sector's green energy transition. • Project Scope: Total capacity of 5,476 kWp across multiple operational sites, including Awissawella, Kekanadura (Matara), Trincomalee, and Mannar. • Energy Impact: The project is projected to generate approximately 7.3 million kWh of clean energy annually. • Environmental Contribution: It will offset nearly 5,420 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year, supporting Sri Lanka’s Enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). • Strategic Alignment: The initiative strengthens the apparel & textiles sector's ESG performance, leveraging renewable energy to enhance global competitiveness and reduce the carbon footprint of industrial manufacturing. • Site Breakdown: • Awissawella (4 sites): ~3,027 kWp • Matara (Kekanadura): 1,231 kWp • Trincomalee: 1,160 kWp • Mannar: 60 kWp This collaboration highlights the scalability of solar solutions for large-scale manufacturing and reinforces the industry's commitment to a low-carbon future.
