š Kane Williamson Retires from T20 Internationals
⢠New Zealand's former captain, Kane Williamson (35), has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals (T20Is), effective immediately. ⢠This decision aims to give the team "clarity" and allow emerging talent to prepare for the next T20 World Cup, starting in February in India and Sri Lanka. ⢠Career Highlights: Scored 2,575 runs in 93 T20Is at an average of 33.44. Only Martin Guptill has scored more T20I runs for NZ. ⢠He famously captained the Black Caps to the T20 World Cup final in 2021. ⢠Williamson will continue to play One Day International (ODI) cricket, the three-Test series against West Indies in December, and T20 franchise cricket.
