🚨 Key Appointment: Amb. Ravinatha Aryasinha to Lead RCSS
• Ambassador (Retd.) Ravinatha Aryasinha, former Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka, has been appointed Executive Director of the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS). • The RCSS is an independent, non-profit, policy research centre, co-founded in 1992 and headquartered in Colombo, focused on conventional and non-conventional conflict and peace studies. • Aryasinha's extensive background in diplomacy includes key roles such as Ambassador to the United States; Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva; and Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union. • Following his retirement, he most recently served as the Executive Director of the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKI). • His priority for the RCSS is to strengthen the research programme, deepen regional and international partnerships, and expand opportunities for emerging scholars.
