• The Science and Technology Ministry has pledged full government support to twin students, Sasiru Nimnal and Ramiru Nimnath, from Anuradhapura, who created an AI-powered humanoid robot. • Minister Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena highlighted the focus on connecting young innovators to research facilities and commercialisation pathways to ensure no new invention is "abandoned." • Institutional Support: Key agencies including the Arthur C. Clarke Institute, Inventors Commission, and National Innovation Agency are ready to provide technical guidance and assist in securing patent rights for the creation. • National Plan: The Ministry is planning to establish 100 school innovation clubs this year, aiming to expand the program across the entire school system to nurture talent. • Future Application: The student inventors aim to further develop the robot into a tourist guide, showcasing a practical, real-world application of AI & Robotics technology.
