NCE to Lead Business Delegation to India to Unlock Export Growth 📈

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) is organizing an trade delegation to New Delhi and Mumbai from Sept 24 to Oct 1, 2026, aimed at expanding market access and driving B2B partnerships with Indian industry leaders. • Trade Performance & Growth • Sri Lankan exports to India rose 17.2% YoY in 2025 to ~US$ 1.04 Bn (up from US$ 881.6 Mn in 2024). • Momentum accelerated in 1H 2026, with exports surging 36.16% YoY to US$ 688.47 Mn. • Trade relies heavily on the India-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (ISFTA), which facilitated ~US$ 634 Mn (61.3%) of exports to India in 2025. • Focus Sectors & Opportunities • Key traditional & value-added sectors include tea, apparel & textiles, rubber & rubber products, coconut products, spices, food & beverages, gems & jewellery, electrical & electronic products, ICT/BPM, logistics, and manufacturing. • Strategic expansion focus extends to joint ventures, contract manufacturing, technology collaboration, supply chain integration, and distribution networks. • Key Institutional Engagements • Direct B2B access organized via major Indian chambers: FIEO and FICCI (New Delhi); MACCIA, AIAI, and ICIB (Mumbai). • Supported by trade officers from the Sri Lankan High Commission in New Delhi and Consulate General in Mumbai to lower entry barriers for local SMEs and emerging exporters.
