• Key Event: Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya delivered the keynote address at the inaugural Global Conscious Food Systems Summit 2026 at Dungkar Dzong, Bhutan. The summit was jointly organized by the Royal Government of Bhutan, the Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA), and the UNDP. • Core Focus: Addressing the theme _“Rising to the moment: Igniting consciousness to address the polycrisis,”_ she showcased Sri Lanka’s ancient food systems. She highlighted ancestral practices in production, storage, preservation, and consumption built on harmony with nature, balance, and deep sustainability. • Leadership Dialogue: Participated in a panel on _“Conscious Leadership”_ alongside Bhutanese PM Dasho Tshering Tobgay, emphasizing regenerative systems and sustainable leadership. • Socio-Economic Priorities: Addressed international media on critical economic pillars, including food security, best agricultural practices, women’s employment, and long-term socio-economic development.
