🏆 Presidential Environmental Awards 2025: CEA Honours 132 Eco-Champions

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA) recently hosted the Presidential Environmental Awards 2025 (Oct 23), recognising institutions, projects, and individuals for demonstrating environmental management practices that exceed regulatory standards. • A total of 132 awards were presented, including 17 Gold, 29 Silver, and 38 Bronze awards. The trophies were sustainably crafted from recycled aluminium tins. • The premier Industry Sector required participants to go beyond minimum Environmental Protection License (EPL) compliance to earn recognition. • Key national sectors honoured in 16 categories included Apparel Industries and Tea Processing industries (Tea Factories), along with Hotels and Food & Beverages. • The Project Sector focused on Renewable Energy Generation Projects (Solar, Wind, and Small-scale Hydropower). • The Institutional, Mass Media, and Social Sector featured schools, NGOs, and Innovations. A new category was introduced this year for the Social Media Sector (Facebook Pages and YouTube Channels) recognizing original content creators promoting environmental conservation.
