• Jayantha Gallehewa has been sworn in as the 45th President of the Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) for the 2025/2026 term. • He previously held key OPA roles and chaired strategic committees focused on supply chain, logistics, and transport development. • Global Recognition: Gallehewa achieved a historic first for Sri Lanka by receiving the prestigious IFPSM President’s Award (2024) for his outstanding global contribution to the supply chain profession. • As President of the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM), he was instrumental in establishing 'National Supply Chain Day' and spearheading the National Supply Chain Excellence Awards. • The OPA serves as the apex body for 52 professional associations, representing over 60,000 professionals across 34 disciplines, and is critical to national development initiatives.
