Seylan Bank PLC has named Non-Executive Director Krishan Thilakaratne as the Deputy Chairman of its Board, effective 17 August 2026. • Leadership & Career Track: - Joined Seylan Bank in 1990 as a Banking Assistant before moving to LOLC Group in 1995. - Brings over 31 years of experience across management, credit, factoring, portfolio management, and Islamic finance. - Currently serves as Director/CEO of LOLC Finance PLC and is on the Senior Management Team of LOLC Holdings PLC. • Governance & Industry Footprint: - Has served on the Seylan Bank Board as a Non-Executive Director since 2018. - Former Chairman of the Finance Houses Association of Sri Lanka (FHASL) and former Board Member of the Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB). - Holds extensive board-level international exposure across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Egypt. • Qualifications: - Passed Finalist of CIMA (UK), Associate Member of IBSL (AIB), and alumnus of the Harvard Business School Strategic Leadership Training Program in Microfinance.
