Sinopec Provides 75,000L Emergency Water Relief to Flood-Hit Areas Under 'Clear Spring' Initiative 💧
• Sinopec has mobilized its "Clear Spring" CSR programme to donate 75,000 litres of bottled drinking water to flood-affected communities across Sri Lanka. • Distribution was carried out through Sinopec's Filling Stations Network and strategic partners in severely impacted regions, including Kandy, Badulla, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Biyagama, and Kelaniya. Direct donations were also made to local government offices. • Hon. Kumar Jayakody, Minister of Energy, personally participated in the distribution, underscoring the collaborative effort between public institutions and private operators in the energy sector during the national crisis. • This initiative addresses the urgent need for safe drinking water, crucial due to widespread disruptions and damage to water supply systems caused by flooding. • It builds on Sinopec's existing humanitarian efforts, which include the installation of water filtration units in Madu, Mannar, and Anuradhapura earlier this year, with commitments for further expansion. • Sinopec reaffirms its readiness to expand the 'Clear Spring' initiative to support Sri Lanka's ongoing recovery and ensure access to clean water. 🤝
