SL Poultry Sector Recognized as Global Sustainability Leader at Soy Connext 2026 📈

Sri Lanka’s poultry & animal feed sector gained global recognition at the US Soybean Export Council’s (USSEC) Soy Connext 2026 summit in Chicago. Key highlights include: • Market Position: Sri Lanka remains the world's largest market for containerised US soybean meal, importing ~255,000 tons in 2025. This feeds a domestic animal feed industry producing nearly 1.3Mn MT annually, with poultry as its primary customer. • Sustainability Milestones: 16 Sri Lankan poultry producers and feed millers hold licenses for "Sustainable U.S. Soy" labels under the U.S. Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol (SSAP).
