Regulatory concerns noted regarding bureaucratic delays in quality clearances and restrictive foreign investment caps. ⢠Key Growth Sectors & Regional Focus Renewable energy: Targeting 70% renewable electricity generation by 2030. Agriculture & agro-processing: Focus on GI-certifiable crops such as cocoa, vanilla, and spices to prevent missed export opportunities in the EU. Floriculture: Positioning Sri Lanka as the South Asian hub for tropical ornamental plants and cut foliage via Netherlands trade gateways.
