SLC Strengthens Cricket Umpiring Ranks 🏏

• Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has certified 196 umpires who successfully completed the competitive Level 5 Umpires Examination. • A total of 253 candidates participated in the examination. • This qualification is crucial as it grants umpires eligibility to officiate in school cricket tournaments (SLSCA) and SLC-conducted District and Inter-District tournaments. • The Level 5 certificate serves as the official entry point for umpires to begin progressing through the ranks, with Level 1 being the highest qualification. • The ceremony was held at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium with officials including SLC Umpires Committee Chairman Samantha Dodanwela in attendance.
