A high-level meeting took place between (Eng.) Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, and an Indian government delegation to tackle security challenges in Sri Lanka's public systems and strengthen digital ties. • Bilateral Engagement: The Indian delegation included Dr. Sanjay Bahl (Director General, CERT-In), Mr. Amit A. Shukla (Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy), and Ms. Devika Lal (Counsellor, Indian High Commission). • Technical Collaboration: Discussions focused on leveraging India's CERT-In expertise to enhance Sri Lanka CERT's threat identification, response speed, and AI-augmented threat assessments. • Capacity Building: Plans highlight expanding cybersecurity training for government institutions and the public, alongside building a collaborative framework linking ISPs, government, academia, and the private sector. • Economic Context: Strengthens national resilience in the critical ICT/BPM and digital economy sectors through knowledge exchange and technical cooperation.
