⢠Revenue Performance: - August Target: Rs. 190.3 Bn | Actual Collected (First 27 Days): Rs. 199.6 Bn (Target already exceeded). - Cumulative 2026 Collection: Rs. 1,832.7 Bn collected in less than 8 months, reaching 83% of the annual Rs. 2,207 Bn target (based on provisional data). ⢠Key Drivers: - Revenue growth driven by stronger enforcement, tighter monitoring of under-invoicing/misdeclaration, improved valuation practices, currency movements, and a rebound in import volumes following foreign exchange reserve stabilization and relaxed import controls. ⢠Fiscal Impact & Context: - The 2026 target of Rs. 2,207 Bn was set 13.5% lower YoY due to anticipated declines in car imports, following a record revenue of Rs. 2,551 Bn in 2025 (+64.2% YoY from Rs. 1,553 Bn in 2024). - Sustained revenue collection provides critical Treasury support to meet fiscal benchmarks under the IMF-supported program.
