• High-Level Engagement: The Ministry of Digital Economy held discussions with a Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) delegation to expand bilateral partnership in digital transformation and artificial intelligence. • Digital Broadcasting Infrastructure: Key focus was given to accelerating the Digital Television Project and exploring local production of Set-Top Boxes to bolster domestic manufacturing and reduce import dependency. • AI Infrastructure & Capacity: Both sides discussed setting up a National AI Data Centre for Sri Lanka's future AI infrastructure, alongside joint capacity-building initiatives, tailored AI solutions, and international technical knowledge exchange.
