Sri Lanka Launches UK Business Outreach to Promote Expo 2027 📈

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in partnership with the Sri Lanka High Commission in the UK, has initiated a promotional campaign in London (21–22 October 2026) to drive British trade and investment ahead of Sri Lanka Expo 2027. • Programme Overview: Features a Business & Investment Forum and networking sessions on Oct 21, followed by bilateral B2B meetings on Oct 22. • Key Objectives: Position Sri Lanka as a reliable UK trade partner, leverage preferential market access, expand bilateral investment, and drive export diversification across key sectors. • Event Target: Attract strong UK buyer and investor delegations for Sri Lanka Expo 2027, scheduled for 14–17 January 2027 in Sri Lanka. • Delegation: Led by Trade Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe, alongside senior leadership from the Ministry of Industry, EDB, and Board of Investment (BOI).
