📈 Sri Lanka’s Foreign Reserves Surge to US$ 6.91 Bn in August
Official reserve assets rose by 4.6% MoM to reach US$ 6,905 million at the end of August 2026, up from US$ 6,600 million recorded in July 2026. • Foreign Currency Reserves: Increased by 5.1% MoM to US$ 6,690 million in August, compared to US$ 6,368 million in July—serving as the primary driver of national liquidity. • Gold Reserves: Recorded a strong 9.5% MoM growth, expanding from US$ 192 million in July to US$ 210 million by the end of August.
