• National Target: The Export Development Board (EDB) launched the National Export Development Plan (NEDP) 2026–2030 to boost Sri Lanka's exports to US$ 36 Bn by 2030, positioning the island as a competitive regional logistics hub. • Sector Focus: High-level talks between the Ministry of Ports & Civil Aviation and the EDB focused on driving export growth by strengthening the ports & logistics infrastructure, expanding maritime capabilities, and accelerating trade facilitation. • Implementation: Formulated with technical support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the strategic plan prioritizes seamless movement of cargo, institutional coordination, and cross-sectoral engagement to ensure timely execution across key government ministries.
