Sri Lanka to Host SAARC Regional Workshop on Renewable Energy Financial Modelling 📈

• Event Details: Sri Lanka's Cabinet has approved hosting a SAARC Energy Centre training workshop themed "Financial Modelling for Renewable Energy Projects" in Colombo from October 5–7, 2026. • Participation & Logistics: The workshop will bring together 2 delegates from each SAARC member nation. The SAARC Energy Centre will cover local hospitality and airport transport (excluding airfare), while Sri Lanka extends host country support. • Strategic Focus: Proposed by Energy Minister Anura Karunathilake, the initiative aims to enhance the technical capacity of public officers and key stakeholders in project evaluation and financial structuring for the renewable energy sector.
