Sri Lanka welcomed 90,122 tourists in the first 15 days of July 2026, marking a minor 3.04% decline compared to the 92,951 visitors recorded during the same period in 2025. Overall Performance & Daily Flows • Daily arrivals averaged 6,008 visitors, driven by school holidays and cultural events. • Weekly breakdown: 40,821 arrivals in week one, 43,387 in week two, and 5,914 on July 15. The peak daily inflow reached 6,636 on July 11. • Year-to-Date (YTD) cumulative arrivals reached over 1.23 million, running 2% below the corresponding period last year. Top Source Markets (July 1–15) • India: Maintained its top spot with 20,480 visitors (23% share). • United Kingdom: Ranked second with 9,277 visitors (10% share). • China & Australia: Contributed 6% each, with 5,494 and 5,487 arrivals respectively. • Netherlands: Accounted for 5% with 4,744 visitors.
