Suresh Sallay Discharged from Hospital and Returned to CID Custody 📈

• Legal & Custodial Status: Former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Major General (Retd.) Suresh Sallay was scheduled to return to Criminal Investigation Department (CID) custody yesterday afternoon following his discharge from Colombo National Hospital. • Medical Clearance: A 10-member medical board at the Colombo National Hospital confirmed to the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that Sallay completed his medical treatment and was fit to be discharged. • Proceedings & Investigation: Additional Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris officially informed the court of the custody transfer. Sallay remains detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with ongoing investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
