A panel of global sports editors, writers, and broadcasters creates a shortlist of six nominations across five categories, with winners then chosen by the Laureus World Sports Academy via secret ballot. • The ballot for the 2025 achievements was held between December 10-19, 2025, to create a global list of nominees.
