UNICEF’s ‘Little Amaya’ Child Rights Exhibit Opens in Colombo 🎨
• The official 'Little Amaya – See Me, Hear Me' immersive child rights experience and art exhibition was launched yesterday at the Lotus Tower, marking World Children’s Day. • The initiative is led by UNICEF Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Department of Probation and Child Care Services (DPCCS) and the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA). • The four-day exhibit, open until 24 November (10 a.m. – 10 p.m.), uses interactive technology and the character Little Amaya to bring rights like protection, participation, and expression to life in a playful, relatable way. • Complementing the experience is a vibrant art exhibition featuring over 200 self-portraits and creative pieces co-created by children from diverse backgrounds across the island. • UNICEF Representative Emma Brigham underscored the significance of listening to children, stating that participation is a right and creates better decision-making processes.
