🏡 Union Bank and SLBFE Partner to Launch ’Ethera Diriya’ Housing Loans for Migrant Workers

Union Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to promote the ’Ethera Diriya’ housing loan scheme, aimed at supporting overseas Sri Lankan workers and their families. Key details of the facility: • Loan Amount: Up to Rs. 10 million • Repayment Period: Up to 10 years • Objective: Helps migrant workers channel foreign earnings into long-term homeownership, strengthening financial security and social integration for families of Sri Lanka's migrant workforce. • Key Signatories: SLBFE Chairman Koshala Wickremasinghe and Union Bank Chief Business Officer Asanka Ranhotty.
