• Vidullanka PLC has attained Carbon Neutrality across its entire operational footprint, verified under the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard for the April 2024–March 2025 period. • The comprehensive verification by Control Union Inspections Ltd. covers all operations, including overseas subsidiaries in Uganda and its full portfolio of mini-hydro, solar, and biomass renewable energy plants. • Total verified GHG emissions for the period amounted to 2,062 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e). • Key Significance: Vidullanka is the first power sector company to align its GHG reporting with Sri Lanka’s 2030 national emission reduction target (20.8%) and the 2050 carbon neutrality vision. • The company actively supports national goals: • In the last FY, it offset 149,949 tCO₂e through energy generation and surpassed its 100,000 tree planting target. • Plans are underway to integrate advanced IT-based GHG tracking tools to enhance efficiency and support the company's broader Net-Zero commitment.
